The Fresh Agent uses reports from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service (USDA AMS) — shipping-point pricing and movement data. The same publicly available reports that grower-shippers, buyers, and brokers have been reading for decades.

Every business day. We pull new USDA reports each business day and the board shows the date each price was quoted. Weekend gaps are normal because USDA doesn’t publish on Saturdays or Sundays.

The Fresh Agent shows the most recent data USDA has published for each commodity, and every price shows the date it was quoted. Some commodities update daily; others (specialty items, off-season fruit, low-volume reports) publish weekly or sporadically. An older date usually means USDA hasn’t released new data for that item.
